From then on, I have not looked back. The breathing exercises, coupled with mild yoga techniques, have increased my lung capacity and made me aware of how important deep breathing exercises are. I was definitely a shallow breather prior to this practice with less intake of oxygen to the body and brain. Kundalini Yoga, as Lisa explains it, is mindful breathing or using your breath for specific situations such as aiding concentration and focus, as well as a tool to calm the mind or relax. According to Lisa, breathing properly and mindfully can help the body heal itself. Kundalini Yoga is not something that I could have learned without a teacher.
